Ekofire 6010-BA Flueless Stove
Flueless fires are clean burning, producing no noxious gas emissions such as Nitrogen oxides and Carbon monoxide, they are also 100% efficient, this means they are the most cost-effective form of gas heating as every penny you spend on gas is converted to heat.
They are extremely safe and reliable, there are stringent CE regulations placed on manufacturers
Flueless fires are the easiest type of gas fire to install, they are very flexible as they do not need flues and can be fitted anywhere a gas supply can be run.
There are some restrictions on their use. They must not be installed in bathrooms, bedrooms or in rooms of less than 23M³.
You cannot install one in a windowless room, flueless fires do not have thermostats so to cool the room you would have to open a window.
Like all gas heaters, they will still use oxygen from the air in the room and produce Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and water as waste. But as there is no flue the CO2 and water vapour will be passed into the room.
This means the room has to be vented to allow fresh air in and CO2 and water vapour out, failure to do so can result in underperformance due to lack of oxygen, danger to health due to CO2 build up and excessive condensation due to the build-up of water vapour.
The vent is dependent on the size of the fire and must be a minimum of 10cm2 1 metre away from the fire and must not be obstructed.
We do not recommend using flueless fires as your primary heating source.
All mains connected LPG / Gas fires including flueless ones have to installed by gas registered engineers, failure to do so can result in prosecution.
We recommend you visit the Gas safe register website to find a gas safe registered engineer near you, and obtain their advice before making your purchase. Please go to our Gas / LPG info page for information on choosing & buying gas & LPG fires
